Summer Corn and White Bean Soup

Ingredients:
1 tbsp. canola oil
1 cup sliced green onions
3/4 c. chopped cooked ham (or bacon)
3 c. fresh corn kernels
1/2 tsp. salt
2 (15 oz.) cans navy beans, rinsed and drained
2 (14 oz.) cans chicken broth
2 (4.5 oz.) cans chopped green chiles, undrained

Heat canola oil in a dutch oven or large pot over medium heat. Add onions and ham, cook 3 minutes, stirring frequently. Stir in corn and remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil; reduce heat, and simmer covered 5 minutes, or until heated thoroughly.
